The Paper Plunge – Vellum

Hello Ladies!

Wow has this week flown by.  I only have a few more days with my friend.  Time sure does go fast when you are having fun.

Today is the challenge at The Paper Plunge.  This week our challenge is to use Vellum.  I don’t often use vellum so I wasn’t sure what to do with it.  I have seen cards where the patterned paper was covered with embossed vellum.  I decided to try that.  When I put the vellum on top of the pattern paper I did not like the look.  I decided to punch out some hearts and layer the vellum on top of the punched hearts.  I then added a strip of vellum at the bottom of the patterned paper.  I added some ribbon and a bow.  It still was missing something.  I had a stamped heart that I had cut out on my desk so I added it at the bottom.  Here is what my final creation looked like.

Make sure you head on over to The Paper Plunge to see what the other design team ladies created.  I am sure there are some awesome ideas.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Do you have some fun plans for the weekend?  Have a Fabulous Friday!

Robbie

  1. Nice! Try embossing Velum, and layer it over card stock or not too busy DSP…think you will like it. Also, punch out things, like butterflies, and put on a card design….so many fun ways to use velum!

  2. Really pretty, Robbie. Love the hearts. Love it.
