Hello Everyone ~ need a masculine Thinking of You Card?
Well yesterday I managed to get my apartment cleaned with Barb’s help. Today I will work on the kitchen and get get it finished. I had done most of it but left a few countertops to use and did not touch the refrigerator. I will do the refrigerator today and pack up all the things that are left. I will also pack my car with what I have left other than my suitcase. That will leave me my bathroom to clean on Monday morning as well as take the blow up mattress apart. I will then request a walk through to see if everything is ok. I will then turn in my keys and will head to my temporary residence for the week. I am hoping I can get the occupancy permit later this week so I can move in and at least stay at my house. I have to head to Jess’ the week after as we are having Zoie’s birthday party. I am hoping to find a dog sitter so I don’t have to take Bijou with me. She gets car sick so I have to medicate her which I don’t like. I will have a better idea at the end of next week.
I am having a heck of a time with my computer. For some reason Firefox will not let me Pin to Pinterest or SUDSOL. It also was giving me issues with downloading. I spent over an hour struggling with this. So frustrating. Then I went to upload my video for today’s card and for some reason I do not have the video showing how I made the card. I also discovered another one of my videos was not there. So yesterday was not a good technology day for me. I will be contacting Firefox to see what the issue could be. I do not want to have to use another browser as I like Firefox but if it will not allow me to do what I need to do I will have to switch.
For today’s card I had this idea to make a masculine card. The twist was I wanted to use a stamp set that most of the time you see as a feminine card. I pulled out Wishing You Well set and looked at the bouquet image. I saw wheat and decided to use it and use colors that would be considered masculine. I stamped the image using Soft Suede ink. Then using my Stitched Rectangles I cut out the image. I mounted it onto a Shaded Spruce card base using dimensionals. I did not want a ribbon on this since it was a masculine card so I decided to use a piece of linen thread. I tied a knot and attached it with a glue dot. I stamped the simple sentiment at the bottom right hand corner using the Shaded Spruce ink. Here is my completed Thinking of You Card.
