Happy Friday everyone!
Well we all made it to the end of the week. Things are getting so busy around here. I guess everyone is gearing up for Christmas and getting just as busy as I am. It is important to take some time each day to do something you love to help with the stress.
Since I love stamping, I took some time yesterday to make this card. I used the challenge from the Colour Create blog. You were to make a white card with the only color being on the image. I decided to combine it with the challenge on Stampin’ Up Late Night Stampers which was to use the colors from your favorite candy to create a card.
When I saw the challenge on Colour Create I had another idea in my mind but couldn’t get it to work with my colors for my favorite candy. Since my favorite candy is Reece’s Pieces I was limited to brown, orange, and yellow. These colors reminded me of fall leaves so I decided to rethink my card. I played with several ideas but decided I would mask off a rectangle on the front of the card and stamp my leaves inside. Since I could not add any other colors, I needed a way to add some interest to the card. I decided to add some embossed lines around the image to frame it. Here is my creation.
