Touches of Texture

Hello Ladies ~ I have had lots of fun playing lately and one of my creations was this Touches of Texture card.

Well I did not do any organizing yesterday.  I opted to play!  I figured I could use a day to just play with my craft supplies since I have spent a lot of time organizing.  I also ran out of storage containers so I need to get to the store when I can get out of my driveway.  Maybe tomorrow since it is finally going to get above freezing today.  The good news is that I have cards to take me for several weeks.  That is good as it will allow me to continue to organize!

My card today began with the  color challenge at TGIF Challenges

I really liked these colors and decided to use them.  I began by stamping the flower spray with Memento black ink.  I then used the ink in the lid and a blender pen to color in the image.  I colored the flowers with Fresh Fig, the leaves with Island Indigo, and the buds with Night of Navy.  After my coloring was completed I cut the panel down and mounted it onto a piece of Island Indigo card stock.  A strip of Fresh Fig was cut and stamped with the long image from the stamp set using Fresh Fig ink for a tone on tone effect.  This was mounted onto a Whisper White panel.  The panel was mounted onto a Fresh Fig card base.  The image panel was then added using dimensionals.  My card was completed quick and easy.  Here is my Touches of Texture creation.
