Tried again for a 10 minute card

Good Morning Ladies!

I visit Carole’Anne’s blog Stampin Stress Away every day. Each week she and her sister Sandi (who’s blog Sandi MacIver I also check out) have a 10 minute challenge. The rules are to create a card in 10 minutes. Sometimes there is a sketch to follow, colors to use, or a specific product. This week it was a color challenge. I decided to try again.

I used the sketch from Mary Jo’s blog Techno Stamper but I flipped it. I began by gathering my colors of paper and ink. I decided to use Pocket Silhouettes for the image. So I set my timer for 10 minutes and I set another timer for 15 minutes (just in case I went over a little I would have idea of how much). Now the fun begins. I stamped the 2 images using Always Artichoke and Rich Razzleberry. I mounted this on the 2 colors. The sketch has a scallop element which I punched out of Chocolate Chip and added it to top of the image. I then stamped the sentiment with Rich Razzleberry and punched with the small oval. Punched another large oval with Rich Razzleberry and mounted the 2. I needed the 3 elements at the top. At this time the 10 minute timer went off. Well, missed it again! Decided to see if I could get it finished a couple of minutes since I was almost finished. Mary Jo had used ribbon but I did not have ribbon so I pulled out my trio flowers punch and decided to use those with a brad. I then needed to layer everything on my card. I was going to use a Chocolate Chip card base but it was too dark so I decided to use white. I had already cut the Razzleberry and Artichoke layer but decided to add the Chocolate layer. That meant I had to recut my other 2 layers. Added the background layers, then mounted the image layers with dimensionals. Put the brads in my flowers and guess what the 15 minute timer went off. Drats, still didn’t get close. I put the flowers on with Zots and then cut and stamped the inside of the card and attached it to card. So all in all it took me about 15 minutes so the timer won again! Oh well I will give it a try again next week. Here is the sketch and my creation.
