Happy Monday Everyone ~ Are you ready to see the new Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper from Stampin” Up?
I hope everyone had a great weekend. I took the girls to the pool again yesterday. They had a fun time and came home exhausted. Good for me as they went to bed early last night. I wasn’t far behind them as I was pretty tired myself. Little ones can wear you out! I felt like all I did was fix food and drink for them. They are at day care today and I have a hair appointment. Then I need to work on some cards for my blog as I have not been able to do anything for a few days. Jess comes home tomorrow so I will pick them up from day care and take them to their house and wait for Jess to get there.
I got some more of the new designer series paper recently. I decided to play with the Twinkle, Twinkle paper this time. This paper is fabulous! It is so versatile. My Mixed Bag would be perfect to get for this paper and check it out to decide if this is one you have to have a whole package of. Click the link above to see the details of this offering. For my card I chose to use the Night of Navy night sky pattern. I cut a piece and mounted it onto Night of Navy card stock. To add some sparkle cause you know I like my bling, I cut 2 stripes of Silver Glimmer paper and used Tear & Tape to adhere them to the back of the night sky patterned paper layers. I wanted to add another element so I chose the striped pattern and punched it out with the 2 1/4″ circle punch. I used a retired 2 1/2″ circle punch and punched out a piece of Night of Navy card stock. The patterned paper was mounted onto the Night of Navy. I took my Whisper White layer that was cut at 3 3/4″ x 5″ and set my night sky layers on the card where I want it. This allowed me to add my striped layer at just the right spot. After I had it glued down, I added Snail to back of my Night Sky layer and attached it over the top. I took this panel and adhered it to my Night of Navy panel that was cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″. These panels were then attached to my Whisper White card base. To finish off my creation I needed a sentiment. I wanted to see if I had one about stars but no luck. The closest I could get from the stamp sets I had was “You Light Up My Life”. I stamped it using Night of Navy and flagged the ends. The sentiment was added to the card base using dimensionals. Here is my completed creation.
