Under My Umbrella Catalog C.A.S.E.

Hello Stampers ~ I have an Under My Umbrella Catalog C.A.S.E. for you today.

I am headed to the hospital again today.  I was going to meet my cousin and drive in with her but I would have to halfway around the Beltway to meet her and then I would have that drive home at night by myself.  I am nervous about driving around in the city so I did some research and they go right by a metro stop.  We have arranged to meet at the stop.  Now I just have to figure out how long it will take me get to the stop I will get on at.

I played with a set in the Occasions catalog I had used before.  The Under My Umbrella stamp set is a fun set.  When I was preparing to leave I stamped a bunch of images that I could use to make cards while I was in Maryland.  The Under My Umbrella set was one of those.  Since I was strapped for time I went looking for ideas in the catalog to see if there was one I could C.A.S.E.  I found a fun image on page 42.

I did not have the paper they had used for the card so I went looking at what I have that I could use.  The picture looks like they had used Coastal Cabana to match the designer series paper.  I found a great pattern in the Occasions Catalog with the Birthday Bonanza designer series paper.  This one was the background piece.  In the picture the yellow piece looks like it is vellum.  I did not have any in this color, so I looked at my designer series paper and I found a yellow  piece that would work in the Best Dressed designer series paper.  I added a strip on top of the other designer series paper.  For the circle element I used the raindrops in the stamp set and stamped them in Balmy Blue piece of Whisper White.  I used the largest circle die in the Stitched Shapes dies to cut out the circle.  This was added to the card front on the right hand side of the card using dimensionals.  The umbrella was stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink onto Grapefruit Grove card stock.  The punch was then used to punch it out as well as the handle using Old Olive card stock.  The handle was glued to the circle and the top of the umbrella was added with dimensionals.  To finish the card, a bow using Whisper White baker’s twine was added with glue dots.  Here is the completed Under My Umbrella Catalog C.A.S.E.

This cute card was inspired by a card in the 2020 Occasions Catalog. Get the details for the Under My Umbrella Catalog C.A.S.E. creation.
