Hello everyone – an encouraging card is the idea for the Unity Advent Calendar – Day 17 hope ribbon stamp
When I saw the image I immediately thought of the ribbon of hope that is used for Breast Cancer. I found the perfect sentiment in the pattern paper collection. It is an encouraging statement.
Today’s Project
I knew the Paper Rose Floral Dance paper had great patterns that would make this a pretty card. I used a striped pattern for the background so the emphasis would be on the sentiment.
When I read that sentiment I knew it would make a great card addition. I added it to a green cardstock as there was a lot of pink and the green would make the sentiment the focal point of the card.

Another card you could easily use for encouragement was the stamp from Day 12. Another sentiment that would be good for someone in need of encouragement would be the one from Day 9.
About today’s project
white cardstock – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
scrap for stamping and punching
pink cardstock – 4″ x 5 1/4″
scrap for punching
green cardstock – scrap to fit sentiment
pattern paper – diagonal stripe – 3 13/16″ x 5 1/16″
sentiment of choice to fussy cut
