Using Framelits for a Handmade Card

Good Morning Stampers ~ here is a way for Using Framelits for a Handmade Card.

Well I ended up at the house to meet the closet installers.  After the mix up I was worried there were other mistakes.  It is a good thing I went out there as they did not have the correct number of towel racks in the bathrooms and we had to talk about the pantry as she did not know I was having an outlet put in for my cordless vacuum.  We also discovered a problem in the master closet as I have a hidden ironing board in there.  We had to modify that shelving also as she did not know about that.  I am glad I went out there so I could make sure everything was correct.  I also discovered a strange board in my master bath I have to ask the builder about.  I don’t think it is supposed to be there which means it will have to be taken down and then the wall will need to be painted.  While I was there they were installing the sewer line.  The other day they put in the gas line.  I also saw they had delivered my microwave/oven combination.  I don’t know if there were other appliances in the garage or not.  I am anxious to see what my kitchen will look like with the appliances, granite, and backsplash  installed.  That cannot happen until the flooring is installed which can’t happen until the heat is on.  Hopefully that will happen next week.  We will see.

Today’s card came together with the use of several different collections of framelits.  I began by cutting the geometric shaped piece from Eclectic Layers thinlits using Basic Black card stock.  I attached it to a Whisper White card base.  Then using the stamps from Dragonfly Dreams and Granny Apple Green ink I added the dots down the side.  Using the Eclectic Layers framelits I cut the flowers out of Granny Apple Green card stock then used the same framelit I cut the top of the flower out of Melon Mambo.  I added the flower onto the Granny Apple Green flower using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  To make the bee I used the Detailed dragonfly thinlits and cut it out of Basic Black card stock.  I added the cut out to a piece of Crushed Curry card stock using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using my snips I cut around the bee framelit so I had the 2 tone like a bee.  I took a piece of burlap ribbon and angled both ends.  I added this to the lower portion of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of Whisper White using Melon Mambo.  Each end was flagged and then the sentiment was added using dimensionals.  The flowers were added to the card base using dimensionals.  The bee was then added to the card base using dimensionals also.  Here is the completed card Using Framelits for a Handmade Card.
