Hi Ladies!
I had a very productive day yesterday. I graded my papers as well as worked on a challenge and made some convention swaps. Let’s start with the challenge.
Hand Stamped Sentiments had a color challenge this week.
I thought these colors would be fun to play with and I wanted to work on convention card. I love the hedgehog in Fun & Fast notes. So I decided to see what I could come up with. I thought it would be fun to use the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder also. I embossed it on the Old Olive and then used Whisper White Craft to highlight the flowers. I then used the Rose Red marker to color the center of the flowers. I colored the hedgehog with the Chocolate Chip marker and the butterfly with the Rose Red marker. I then layered it and used dimensionals to pop it. The card base is Crumb Cake. Here is what I came up with.

And now for some of my convention swaps. The first one is for a 3 x 3 swap I signed up for. We need to make 81. I got all but 24 done. I ran out of brads so I will be placing a 2 day order for those and some other things.
The next card is a remake of the one for the challenge in this post. I really liked the look of it but wanted to use different colors. I still need to add dazzling diamonds to the center of the flowers.
The last card is a remake of this card. I thought it was a cute card so I modified it and here is what I came up with.
The embellishments on the side are not quite dry. I used crystal effects so when they dry they will be shiny. These are finished other than the crystal effects.
So what do you think of my convention swaps. Do I need to make any changes? Let me know. I am hoping to get some more swaps done today. I love your card! I have to admit that I am SUPER jealous that you will be attending Convention, I will be missing it for the first time since I became a demo- have fun for all of us wasting away at home. 🙂 Thanks for playing along with us at HSS. 🙂
