A Very Summery Card

Today’s card is a long card that will fit in a legal size envelope. I wanted to use some colors I hadn’t used in a while so I began with Tempting Turquoise. I went to the Color Combo website and entered the color. It came back with quite a few color combinations but I chose to use Yoyo Yellow and Lovely Lilac. After choosing these colors, I went looking for some patterned paper and I knew A Flower For You had Tempting Turquoise and Lovely Lilac so I decided to use that also. I saw the sketch on Card Positioning Systems and thought it would be fun to do a long card for a change.

I wanted to use a set I hadn’t used in a while so I pulled out my Eastern Blooms. It was them a matter of stamping and layering. For my image layer I stamped the leaves from Best Blossoms and then second generation stamped the flower randomly in the 3 colors. This made for a very colorful card. Let me know if you agree. Here is the sketch and my creation.
