A Wagon Full of Flowers

Second post, scroll down for the first!

I had the time to visit my craft room and do some stamping that was not for Halloween. I saw the color challenge on The Color Dare blog and decided to use it to create this card. I also used the sketch from Card Patterns for this card.

When I saw the colors you were to use, I wasn’t sure how I was going to use them all. I immediately though about using some Crushed Curry designer paper and stamping Baroque Motifs on it. When I checked out the Raspberry Lemonade DS paper, the Crushed Curry was too busy to do that so I decided to use some cardstock instead. I used the French Script background stamp and stamped it on the cardstock with the same color ink (I used second generation stamping to tone it down a litte). After that I stamped the swirl in Rose Red and again used second generation stamping.

Now I had my background and thought I would use the Boho Blossoms punch to make some flowers. I wanted to do something different with the flowers and while looking through my stamp sets I saw Wagon Full of Fun and the wagon just jumped out at me. I wish this set had made the catalog as I love the images and it is fun to work with. I stamped the wagon and used my aqua painter to color it in. I then cut it out and at the same time carefully cut out the space between the slats. After that it was just a matter of layering my leaves and flowers in the wagon. Here is the sketch and my creation.
