Watercolor block stamping
Happy Friday Stampers – a fun technique was used with the Watercolor block stamping idea.
I love trying techniques to use for my card making. Using watercolor paper, ink, and an acrylic block is a fun one to use for some block stamping on your card. The background is perfect for a colored die cut so that the die cut is highlighted. Love the 3 colors I used to accent the Starry Sky colored flower die cut.
A simple flower die is key to my card. You don’t want to use something too elaborate or it will take away from the background. The Meadow dies have some beautiful simple flower dies to use on your cards.
Make sure you check out the video for this technique. There are lots of tips and hints to help you be successful with your card.

Look at how well the colors used for the block stamping go together. They really set off the flower die cut.
All this card needed was some bling and a simple sentiment. Did you see the tip in the video for how to use the negative from the die cut to add color to the inside of the card and envelope?
I have used various techniques to create watercolor backgrounds. Check out this idea that makes use of leftover ink on your mat when you are doing some other watercolor techniques. And this background was created by smooshing watercolor paper into reinkers on your mat and dragging the paper around.
Thanks for visiting me today and I hope I inspired you to try some techniques like my Watercolor block stamping idea.
Have a Fabulous Friday!
