Hello Everyone ~ I played with a Watercolored Dandelion Wishes Catty C.A.S.E. for today’s creation.
Well today I am headed to another demos house for a play date. There are several of us demos from this area that are getting together to meet each other and work on projects. I will be working on bookmarks as they are needed next week. Hopefully I will get a bunch done today and will only need a few more after today. Tomorrow we are leaving for a play weekend at a stamping show. We went last year to the show in Hampton, Va. as we found out about it too late to do the Raleigh show. This year was are doing the Raleigh show to see how it compares to the Virginia one. It will be interesting to see how they compare as this one has more vendors than the other one had. Will let you know next week how it worked out.
I found another card in the Love, Thanks, and Support section pages 72 – 97. I fell in love with the watercolored dandelion card on page 77 and had to make my version.
I began by making my watercolor panel. I took the dandelion stamp and embossed it with white on watercolor paper. Then using a craft mat, I put down a few drops of Granny Apple Green reinker. The mat and watercolor paper were both spritzed with water. The watercolor paper was then smooshed into the reinkers and dragged through. When I was happy with the look, I used the heat tool to dry the ink. The mat was cleaned and the same procedure was completed using Blueberry Bushel reinker. When I was happy with the look, I again used the heat tool to dry the ink. To make the card I took a piece of Blueberry Bushel for my card base. To the front I added a strip of Whisper White card stock about an inch from the bottom. The watercolor panel was added to the card base using fun foam. A ends of a strip of Granny Apple Green were flagged and it was then added to lower right hand corner of the watercolor panel. A strip of Blueberry Bushel ribbon was added to the flagged strip using glue dots. On a scrap of Whisper White the sentiment was stamped using Blueberry Bushel ink. The 2″ circle punch was used to punch it out. The sentiment was then added to the card base using dimensionals. To finish off the card, I cut a few of the seeds and attached them to the sentiment circle using glue dots and a rhinestone was added to the dot over the “i” in “Friend”. Here is the completed Watercolored Dandelion Wishes Catty C.A.S.E.
