I read quite a few blogs each day. I use them for inspiration and to learn new “tricks of the trade” (that is where I found out about the glitter gel pens you all wanted). Nicole at capturethemoment had a release of some of her new stamps and paper. She created this absolutely beautiful card. I just love the yellow color also. On Julie’s blog she used Stampin’ Up supplies to recreate Nicole’s card. I wanted to see how easy/hard it would be so I gave it a try.
I really like Nicole’s card, it just screamed elegant. I wanted my card to mimic that elegant look. I pulled out my cardstock samples and decided to use Pale Plum to make my card. Other than a few things I learned (you need to stagger your background image, how to improvise if you don’t have satin ribbon to match your cardstock, finding a focal image if you don’t have the one on the original card) the card was fun to make. Let me know if I achieved the elegant look of Nicole’s card.

Stamp: Baroque Motifs Paper: Pale Plum, white Ink: Versmark Accessories: Prima flowers (Target $1 spot), Pale Plum brads, white satin ribbon, Crafter’s Took Kit, clear embossing powder, heat gun
Thanks for looking and have a great day!
