Wednesday’s Design by Robbie

Yeah it’s Wednesday! I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy the beautiful weather we have today. Well I am keeping my streak going. I did the Mojo-Monday sketch for my card today. If anyone is interested Julee from the VerveVisual stamp company is having a contest looking for a guest designer for June. They have a great sketch to try. If you think you might want to be the next guest designer head over there and post your card. If not the sketch is a great one to use to create a card to send to someone.
Here is my card and the sketch. I spent more time with the ovals in the hardware than anything else. I’m not sure you can see but there are actually 3 layers inside the hardward. The bottom layer is Green Galore, the second layer is Tempting Turquoise, and the last layer is white. I wanted a hint of the green to show. You can barely see it in real life. I also stamped the scallop circle with the canvas background before I punched it. It is also hard to see. The turquoise layer in the center is actually Flowers for You Designer Series Paper but my photo did not show the hint of flowers on it. I didn’t have a ribbon that was wide enough that I liked so I created 2 layers of cardstock and put the grosgrain ribbon on top. It actually looks much better in real life but it wasn’t bright enough when I took my picture.

Stamps: Unfrogettable, Cute Converse (retired), Watercolor Minis (retired), Canvas background (retired) Paper: Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise, Flowers for You DP, Sweet DP (retired) Ink: Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise Accessories: silver hardware (JoAnn’s), Green Galore brads, large and small oval punch, scallop punch, turquoise ribbon, sponges, dimensionals, sticky tape.

Hope you have a great day and Thanks for looking!

  1. Lovely card. Love that sentiment with the dragonfly. The hardware looks great, too. Thanks for playing! 🙂
