Wednesday’s Design by Robbie

Ohhh, the sketch on Julee’s blog was so much fun this week.  She used rounded corners.  I hadn’t used them in a long time and it really made the card stand out.  When I started this card I had wanted to highlight Purely Pomegranate but when I started putting the card together it was just too overpowering for me.  I did still use it some along with Wild Wasabi which are both retiring in about a month.  I also felt it needed some bling so I added some glitter pen on the oval and the flower.  It took me a while to put the card together as the Pomegranate kept throwing me off but I really like the final product.

Here is the sktech and my card.

Stamps: Petals & Stems, Thankful Blossoms (both from Verve), Sweet Shapes Paper: Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate, white, Wild Wasabi Ink: Pretty in Pink, Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi Accessories: Nestabilities Ovals, Spica clear glitter pen, dew drops, dimensionals, sticky tape

So, what do you think.  Is the Purely Pomegranate too overpowering?  Let me know.  Thanks for looking and have a great day!

  1. It’s okay. I didn’t like the pomagranite colored around the oval. I think that may have thrown it off. I did like to card though. Sandy

  2. Such a pretty card. Love the butterfly paper with the Thankful Blossoms flower. Thanks for playing my challenge! 🙂
