Wrapped in Plaid Sailing Home

Hello Everyone ~ still playing with the plaid designer series paper with my Wrapped in Plaid Sailing Home creation.

The play at the theater ~ The Hunchback of Notre Dame ~ was fabulous.  It was a musical and the singers were great.  This is a local community theater group that does these plays.  I did not know the story of the Hunchback so it was interesting to see how the play unfolded.  It was 2 1/2 hours long so one of the longest plays we have seen this season.  They have the shows out for the 2020 season.  We looked at those as well as the ones for another local community theater groups.  They both have great plays so we have to see which one we want to get season tickets for or if we want to do both or pick and choose the plays we want to see.  We will see what unfolds over the next week or so.

I thought it would be fun to use one of the blue plaid papers from the Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper.  I opted to use it with the sailboat from the Sailing Home stamp set.  I cut the blue plaid paper and mounted it onto a piece of Night of Navy card stock.  This panel was added to the Whisper White card base on an angle.  The small sailboat was stamped onto a scrap of Whisper White using Night of Navy ink.  The card stock was then cut down to fit the image.  A piece of Gold foil paper was cut a little larger than the sailboat panel and then glue dots were used to attach the sailboat panel to the Gold foil panel.  The sailboat panel was then attached to the card base using dimensionals a little above the center.  To finish the card, the ship’s wheel from the Sail Away Trinkets using a glue dot.  Here is the completed Wrapped in Plaid Sailing Home creation.

Check out these other masculine cards I have created.  Here is one that uses the same stamp set as today’s share for a monochromatic look.  Look at this card that uses the Winter Woods stamp set.  This one uses another great masculine set.
