You Mean the World to Me

Hello Everyone ~ I played with a watercolor background idea for my You Mean the World to Me card.

Well my issues with technology have not ended.  I tried to go Live yesterday and each time I tried it kept ending the Live before it even started.  I was able to update the app and managed to make my card.  It is so challenging lately so hopefully I think I am on the downslide.  We will see when my next Live is scheduled for Thursday evening.  We are going to so a mystery stamping idea.  I have the card created and will be posting the supplied you will need tomorrow.

It took me a while to get going on my designing but I was able to make the Thursday Facebook Live card and the No Stamping cards for my social distancing  stamping option.  I also played with some other ideas that I ran across the past few weeks.  They involved techniques that had to have time to dry so I will be using the panels in cards over the next few weeks.

I saw a card by one of my favorite watercolor card makers and wanted to do my version.  The background uses ink on a block that you spray with water and then stamp on your watercolor paper.  I used the panel to create my You Mean the World to Me card for today.

Features of the Card

  • Forever Fern bundle
  • Well Said
  • card base ~ Mossy Meadow – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Fluid Watercolor paper ~ 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″
  • 1″ and 1 1/4″ circle punches
  • Gold metallic edge ribbon

Watercoloring can make a great background. Check out this idea that I used an acryllic block to create the You Mean the World to Me creation.
