This past weekend Splitcoast had their August Virtual Stamping Night. This even is held on a Friday evening and a Saturday. It usually begins about 6:00 and goes until 11:00 on Friday night and Saturday is usually 8 hours long. They post a new challege every hour. You have 45 minutes to create your card and they give you 15 minutes to clean up and post your card before they post the next challenge. They list a shopping list a few days before the event so that you can gather all the supplies you need. I had most of them and only had to buy large paper clips and sugar free Kool-Aid. I really enjoyed doing them on Friday evening. Saturday I had my workshop then a birthday party so I did the Saturday challenges today. I did not do a few of the posted challenges (make a mask, use newspaper on your card) but the rest were fun. I did find out that I can create a rather elaborate card within the 45 minute time frame.
The first challenge was to use a favorite book from your childhood to create a card. Well at my age I can’t remember books I read other than the Nancy Drew mystery books. I did however immediately think of my daughter’s favortie book (must be because I had to read it every night for about 6 months). I used “Good Night Moon” for this card.
