Elegant Spring Penny Black

This week the challenge on the Penny Black blog is to create a card for a season. I had this great stamp that I have only used a few times and thought it would be great for a Spring card. My first thought was to do a silhouette style card but then I thougth it would be nice to have some soft colors and decided to use my Pearl Ex (I would love to know how to get the pearl ex on just the Versamark and not on the background. Any hints?). I love the colors and the only issue I had was hiding the slit punch for the ribbon (the bottom hole I had to cut with my exacto knife as the slit punch wasn’t long enough and the hole was rough looking). After searching through my tons of embellishments I decided on the pearls as nothing I had looked Asian to fit the stamp. I really like how this card turned out!

Stamps: Youthful (Penny Black) Paper: Orchid Opulence, Yoyo Yellow, white Ink: Glorious Green, Orchid Opulence, Yoyo Yellow, Versamark Accessories: ribbon (JoAnn’s), pearls (Michael’s), tiny flower rhinestones (Michael’s), slit punch, pearl ex, paint brush, sponge daubers, dimensionals
