Have you ever had a paper that you didn’t know how you would use it. This card was made with some of that paper. When I pulled this paper to use I immediately thought of gold and elegance. The Snow Swirled set fit that description so I decided to use it.
I had stamped the tree and used my heat gun to set the ink. When I went to cut the image panel down the ink smeared. Obviously I did not heat it enough, so I restamped it and spent a little longer with setting it the second time. I then pulled my brushed gold paper and matched it all up with Riding Hood Red.
I used the sketch from Jen’s blog for my card. I think it made a really elegant card. Here is the sketch and my card.
Again I decorated the inside of my card. Here it is.
Stamps: Snow Swirled, North Pole Post (Whipper Snapper Designs) Paper: Brushed Gold, Riding Hood Red, Very Vanilla, background patterned paper (Michael’s – a gift from someone and it didn’t have a name on it) Ink: Encore Gold, Riding Hood Red Accessories: scallop edge punch, ticket corner punch, designer label punch, ribbon (Pink Hedgehog), dimensionals
I am going to spend the weekend with my daughter. She will graduate from college in December and is looking for a job so I don’t know how much more time I will have with her at home. Have a great weekend and I’ll be back on Monday with some more creations. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
