Doodled Flourish

I am loving the new Fifth Avenue Floral set. I used another stamp from the set on today’s card. The open style of the stamps in the set allow you to combine colors to create some beautiful cards while at the same time you can stamp it on the same color cardstock and create layered flowers. It is a very versatile set.

I was able to combine 2 challenges in this card. Our Creative Corner has a doodling challenge. You were to add doodling somewhere on your card. I hadn’t doodled on my card in quite some time so I thought it would be fun.

The Flourishes blog wanted you to make a card or project where the sentiment was the main focal point. I ran across this sentiment while looking through my stamps and I knew it would be perfect for the Fifth Avenue Floral set. I also tried something new on the the stamped sentiment. I used Almost Amethyst, Elegant Eggplant, and So Saffron inks to sponge from the inside towards the outside. I started with So Saffron in the middle, then I used Almost Amethyst from the edge of the So Saffron to the edge of the card. I finished with Elegant Eggplant on the very edges. I like the effect, what do you think? To finish off the card, I had a flower charm that I added to dangle in the lower right hand corner of the sentiment layer. So here is my creation.

Well I am planning on working on my crosstitching. I am taking a class and I have a lot to get finished by Wednesday. Hope you have some time to play today! Thanks for looking and have a great day!
