My Attempt at a monochromatic card

Edited after picture!

Today I played with an inspiration challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments. There was a picture collage that you were to use and create a card or project .

When I saw the picture I was drawn to the ivory shell pillow. I thought it would be fun to create a monochromatic card using Very Vanilla. I used the Perfect Details template to make the back layer and added to card base with dimensionals. I then pulled out my Fifth Avenue Floral and stamped the rose with Very Vanilla Craft and embossed with clear embossing powder. I then sponged on some Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink to give it some dimension. I attached it to the card with dimensionals also. I finished with some ivory organdy ribbon. I had a hard time photographing this card. I will try taking another picture today when the sun is out and see if I can get a better shot. Here is my creation.

I promised I would retake the picture and come back and repost it so you could see the details better. Well I wasn’t happy with the look of the card so I actually modified it a bit. I embossed 3 other flowers and cut out different layers. I added more Barely Banana and Pretty in Pink sponging. I also used the shimmer paint and a stylus and drew on the lines of the petals. I would have liked a skinnier line and my try it another time using an old pen. I put black behind the card so I think you can see it better. Let me know what you think!

Stampin’ Up Supplies
Stamps: Fifth Avenue Floral Paper: Very Vanilla Ink: Very Vanilla Craft, Barely Banana, Pretty in Pink Accessories: Frost white shimmer paint, clear embossing powder, Perfect Details texture plate, stylus, sponge daubers, dimensionals

If any of you can give me some hints about photographing all white or vanilla cards I would love to have them. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Love both of the cards actually. I really like tone on tone cards and you did a great job, specially the shading and glitter addition. Thank you for joining us at Hand Stamped Sentiments.
