Coloring Down the Lines – Layered Rectangles

Hello Stampers!

So what are your plans for today?  I have to clean my bathrooms but then I am going to reward myself by spending some time in my craft room.  I hate cleaning the bathroom so I have to do something fun afterwards so that I actually do it and not put it off.

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  I am the start of the hop.  This week Amanda chose our colors.

The added piece this week was to use layered rectangles.

Aren’t these colors fabulous!  There were so many things that came to mind when I saw them.  I decided to choose my colors first.  I then decided to work the Smoky Slate in using the Off the Grid stamp on a rectangle.  Then I just layered some more rectangles in Basic Black and Marina Mist.  I created a card base of Soft Suede with a layer of white.  I then stamped some mosaics in Marina Mist and Soft Suede and punched them out.  I then played around with placement and this is the final decision I came up with.  Here is my creation.

This could be a great guy card.  It is easy to do also.
Are you ready to see what the other ladies on the blog hop created?  Hop
on over to Amanda’s blog – Our Crafty Playdate to see what she did with her colors.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am looking forward to some play time later today.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
