Hello Everyone ~ I was in a need of a Thinking of You card and today I am sharing the one I created.
Well I did not get any time in my craft room. After my workshop I ran some errands with one of my customers and by the time I got back I had to babysit Remi. Today I am taking a class so I will have limited time in my craft room. I will take advantage of the little bit of time I have.
I am in need of some Thinking of You cards. I decided to start with a sketch challenge and really liked the one I found at Fab Friday.
When I saw the large circle I thought of the Lace Doilies in the Occasions catalog. These doilies are great as they have a vanilla side and a white side. I thought the Falling In Love dsp would be great to use. I looked through the different papers and decided on one. I knew the vanilla side of the doily would be lost on the paper so I decided to use the white side and color it. I used the matching color from the paper and pushed the doily into the ink pad. Once it was colored I set it aside to dry while I worked on the rest of the card. The Very Vanilla card base was scored and cut. The layer of dsp was added to a layer of Sweet Sugarplum card stock. Dimensionals were added in key places on the doily and then the doily was added to the dsp. The edge of the doily that was hanging over the edge was trimmed. This layer was added to the Very Vanilla card base. The sentiment was inked and stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla. I masked half of the sentiment and stamped it, then cleaned the stamp, masked the sentiment that had already been stamped, inked up the other part, and then stamped the last part of the sentiment. The sentiment was trimmed and the end was flagged using the banner punch. The sentiment was added to the card front using dimensionals. To finish the card a bow was tied and added using a glue dot as well as some rhinestones were added under the sentiment. Here is my completed creation.

Thanks for visiting me today. What plans do you have today? I know I am anxiously awaiting the NASCAR season to begin in 2 weeks! Have a Sensational Sunday and take some time to make a Thinking of You card!
