Yummy Hugs

Hello Everyone ~ Are you thinking this title Yummy Hugs might be something to eat?

Well I had wanted to make a few cards yesterday.  I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I started on my first one and before I knew it the day was gone.  That card took a long time with a lot of coloring.  I love how it turned out but not one you want to do when you have a bunch of cards you need to make.

I had the Yummy in My Tummy stamp set sitting on my table from the day before.  This is a set I bought to make Love Notes for Zoie’s lunch box and I have not played with it yet.  I saw a sketch challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches that I knew would be perfect for the image.

The large monster was stamped with Basic Black Archival ink.  The watercolor pencils were used to color him in.  I then used a blender pen to blend the colors.  He was mounted onto a piece of Blushing Bride card stock.  I stamped the sentiment with Blushing Bride ink and punched it out with a 1 1/4″ circle punch.  It was mounted onto a 1 3/8″ circle punched from Blushing Bride card stock.  Using Blushing Bride baker’s twine I created a banner with the sentiment.  Glue dots attached the baker’s twine to the monster’s hands.  A dimensional was added to the back of the sentiment and then attached to his tummy.  A piece of Blushing Bride dsp was attached to a Whisper White card base.  The monster panel was then added to the card base.  This guy is cute and Zoie is going to love getting it in the mail!  Here is the completed card.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I hope to have some time to play a little today before I have to babysit.  Have a Super Saturday and let me know if you have created any Yummy Hugs!
