Daisy Delight from Stampin’ Up

Hello Stampers ~ I am in love with my Daisy Delight from Stampin Up card!

Can you believe the week is almost over?  Today is my day to go to the yarn shop.  It is the day I use my creativity in a way other than papercrafting.  I am still working on my shawl.  I am hoping to finish it up either today or next week.  Just depends how many mistakes I make and have to rip out my stitches.  Hopefully I won’t have to rip out too many rows.  If history is true I will be ripping out some of them.  Hopefully not too many rows.

I ran across a card on the internet by one of my favorite creators.  Whenever I see a card by Birgit Edblom she makes me think of sets we have that I could use to recreate her card.  She shared one that I had to check out to see it up close.  Once I looked at it I knew I had to recreate it using Stampin’ Up supplies.  I began by stamping the daisy in Smokey Slate.  I did off stamp it so it was not as dark.  I stamped it 3 times then used the punch to punch out the flowers.  The center was stamped with Daffodil Delight that was also off stamped.  Using my bone folder, I curled the petals of 2 of the flowers down and the other flower I curled the petals up.  I layered the flowers offsetting the petals in each layer.  The stem was created from the Sunshine Wishes framelits.  I cut it out using Pear Pizzazz then cut off the flower.  I added the stem to the back of the daisy with a glue dot. cutting my panel smaller than my card front.  Then using Pear Pizzazz I sponged the lower left hand corner.  I used the flower to determine how high up to go with the sponging.  After I had my sponging completed I used the flower stamp from Awesomely Artistic to stamp part of the image in the lower left hand corner on top of the sponging.  Then I masked the flowers and used the stems from the Daisy Delight set to stamp the stems.  The daisy was added to the panel using dimensionals.  The card needed something so I pulled out my glitter pen and added some glitter to the stems.  The panel was added to my card base using dimensionals.  Here is the completed Daisy Delight from Stampin’ Up card.

Very pretty. It has a look to it – can’t put my finger on the word. But it’s peaceful maybe? I really do like it.
