Hello Ladies ~ Wait till you see my Oh So Eclectic Pocket Card I created for today.
I changed my plans for yesterday. The weather was rainy but cool so I opted to start working in the garage. I managed to clean out half of it. I have the other half but Jess still has stuff in there she needs to get out before I can proceed. I am hoping she will do that this weekend as I am running out of time. I have some paint and some weed killer I need to see how to dispose of. Anyone have any ideas for me? I am hoping to get back in there next week. Since I did not get to the upstairs bedrooms, that will be on my list for today along with cleaning the bathrooms. Then I will reward myself by playing in my craft room. I need to make my workshop cards for next week as well as my Facebook Live card for Friday night. If you have ideas, send them my way!
Our next challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments starts today. This time we have a sketch.
This was a simple sketch so I wanted to find a way to do something special with it. I recently saw a pocket card made using the Envelope Punch Board. I decided to see if I could figure out how to make one. I began by looking for the size I would need on the guide. Once I had that, I cut the Shimmery White card stock to the size I needed. Then I used the measurements on the punch board to make the envelope. It was pretty plain so I decided to dress it up a little. I used the Oh So Eclectic stamp set to decorate the paper. I used Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, and Pool Party for my colors. Once I had it decorated, I put the envelope together. I left one end flap out and cut it off so that the end was open. Now that my envelope pocket was complete I wanted to make the insert. I began with a panel of Whisper White cut so that it would fit inside the pocket. To decorate the top, I used the Decorative Ribbon border punch and punched a strip that I added to a strip of Mint Macaron. A belly band was needed for some more interest. It was created with a strip of Mind Macaron and the Decorative Ribbon border punch. A 2″ circle was punched from Pool Party card stock. It was added to the belly band using dimensionals to hide where the band was joined. Another flower was stamped and the framelits used to cut it out. It was added to the top of the circle with dimensionals. Here is the completed Oh So Eclectic Pocket Card.
