Good Morning Everyone ~ I have a recessed image for my Hearts Come Home from Stampin’ Up creation today.
I got 3 more sets completed on my Catalog Journey stamp sets. That leaves me 9 sets to work on. I did not work on any of my piles yesterday so I will have to do that today. I am thinking I can do both rooms in the morning and still have time in the afternoon. I might even be able to start on one of the cabinets in the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets will not be that hard. It is just a matter of taking the things out and wrapping them in paper and putting them in a box. If I take one cabinet at a time it won’t take me long. The only thing I have this week is a workshop on Wednesday afternoon. That will be a few hours so I know I will get a lot accomplished this week.
Up next in my Catalog Journey is the Hearts Come Home stamp set. I got this stamp set for the versatility of it. It can be used all year long. As I am writing this, I realized that I might be able to modify this card for the realtors who are helping me sell my house. I think they would like it. For my card I began by using the framelits to cut out some houses. My vision was to create a frame that was popped up from the background. I chose my frame from designer series paper in the Tranquil Textures pack and using the Layering Squares I cut a square out of the upper part of a 3 3/4″ x 5″. I then cut a piece of fun foam a little smaller than the designer series paper. I set the designer series paper on top of the fun foam and traced the cut out square onto the fun foam. This showed me where I needed to cut my center out of the fun foam. I added glue to the fun foam and set the designer series paper on top. An acrylic block was set on top to ensure a good seal while it dried. Using some Whisper White I used the Hometown Greetings edgelits to cut out one of the strips. I punched out a 3/4″ circle also to be the moon. I wanted some sparkle cause you know I love my bling so I used some Wink of Stella and traced all the cut Whisper White pieces. I attached the house strip to the back of the designer series frame. The frame was then added to a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Night of Navy. To finish the frame the 3/4″ circle was glued it in the upper left hand corner. My frame was added to a Whisper White card base. I used selective inking for my sentiment. This was added to a Night of Navy layer and then added to the card base using dimensionals. Here is the completed Hearts Come Home from Stampin’ Up.
