Happy Monday Everyone ~ Wait until you see my Stampin’ Up Dragonfly Dreams creation.
I finished the garage yesterday morning. I wanted to get it done before it got too hot so I got up and got it organized. It is ready for the movers. I also finished up another Catalog Journey stamp set. That leaves me with one set. I will do that today as then I need to pack the craft room. In fact I have to finish all the packing today and tomorrow as the movers will be here on Wednesday. I don’t have a ton to do but enough for the 2 days. I also have some donations to get out today. I will do one trip after I drop the girls at day care. My goal is to get the stamp set completed this morning so I will be busy today. I am hoping to only have a few hours left for Tuesday. Check back tomorrow to see what my progress was from today.
Today’s creation uses the next stamp set on my Catalog Journey. I had the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. There are some great images in this stamp set. I used the dragonfly and paired it with the Garden Impressions designer series paper. I did some research to find a dragonfly that I liked. I chose one that had black wings and a blue body. I colored the dragonfly using markers and then stamped it onto a scrap of Whisper White. To add the sparkle to the wings that you see on dragonflies the Wink of Stella was used. The matching framelit was used to cut out the dragonfly. I used the Layered Leaves embossing folder to emboss a Whisper White panel. This was attached to a Pacific Point card base. Two coordinating pieces of Garden Impressions designer series paper to use for the card. One piece was attached vertically and the other piece was going to be attached horizontally. Using a 1 1/2″ and 2″ circle punch and a scrap of Pacific Point card stock a circle frame was created. A piece of the mini silver sequin trim was tied to the circle frame using Basic Black Baker’s twine. The horizontal designer series paper was threaded through the circle frame and then attached to the card base. The dragonfly was attached to the card base using dimensionals. Here is the completed Stampin’ Up Dragonfly Dreams creation.
