Good Morning Stampers ~ I love to watercolor and here is an idea for a Watercolored High Tide creation.
Well today is the day I get the keys to my apartment. I have to unload the car and then the movers are coming to bring me all my furniture. I have a feeling it is going to be a busy day for me. Hopefully Bijou will cooperate and not bark throughout the entire process. I know she will be wondering what is going on so I will try and block her in the kitchen. If that doesn’t work, I will put her in the bathroom. If all else fails I will be holding her a lot. Once the movers leave I am certain she will settle down and explore her new house.
I played with a fun watercolor technique and paired it with the High Tide stamp set. For my watercolor technique I took the pad and smooshed it on an acrylic block. I lightly spritzed it with water. I then took a window sheet and smooshed it in the ink. Using a piece of Shimmery White card stock I added some Crumb Cake along the bottom of the card stock smooshing the window sheet down on the card stock and pushing the ink around. You only need a very little bit of ink for this give you the effect you want. I cleaned my Window Sheet and repeated the above procedure using Balmy Blue pad. I set this aside to dry and using a scrap of the card stock I stamped the lighthouse using Night of Navy ink and Smoky Slate ink. I fussy cut the lighthouse. The grass was added using the Soft Sea Foam ink. A piece of the Night of Navy Gingham ribbon was added to the top using Tear & Tape. This panel was added to a Night of Navy card base. The lighthouse was attached using dimensionals. Here is my completed Watercolored High Tide creation.
