Happy Monday Everyone ~ need some ideas for Halloween cards, check out this Seasonal Chums Trick or Treat from Stampin’ Up creation.
Wow now that things are starting to get back to normal here in New Bern the mosquitoes are coming out. They are huge! I am going to make up some spray for Bijou and I as they attach us when I take her out in the evening. I spent some time yesterday making some Halloween cards. I decided to take this week and share some Halloween ideas with you. I pulled out my two sets that have Halloween images in it to use. I had to make 4 cards for each day that I do not post a video. I hope if you are in need of a few Halloween cards my cards this week will inspire you.
For the first card this week I used the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Crew.
I used the same layout but turned my paper to be portrait rather than landscape. I pulled out the Woodland Embossing folder. I wanted to make sure the trees were highlighted so I took the embossing folder and having the “sizzix” label in the lower left hand corner, I opened the folder and added Crumb Cake ink onto the section of the folder at the top. To do this you take your ink pad and swipe it across the folder. Once you have the ink on your folder, place your card stock into the folder on the side that does not have ink. Close the folder and emboss as usual. When you take out the card stock, you should have the ink on the background behind the trees. This panel was added to a piece of Crumb Cake card stock. To add the background element, I used the circles from Timeless Textures and stamped it twice. The tree panel was added to the card base using fun foam. I pulled out my Basic Black shimmer ribbon and added a strip across the bottom of the tree panel. The pumpkin image from Seasonal Chums was stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Very Vanilla. Alcohol markers and Stampin’ Up markers were used to color the pumpkin in. It was then cut out using the Seasonal Tags Framelits. It was mounted on the lower left hand corner of the tree panel using dimensionals. To finish off the card, the sentiment was stamped in the lower right hand corner of the card base. Here is the completed Seasonal Chums Trick or Treat from Stampin’ up creation.

Perfect Hallowe’en card, Robbie! I love the shading behind the embossed trees, and that little pumpkin isn’t *too* scary 🙂 Thanks for joining the Paper Craft Crew challenge this week. ~Deborah

HI Robbie, I love your card! The tree background is such a nice touch as is the coffee stains – these elements add a subtle but are quite eye-catching. Thanks for joining our Paper Craft Crew challenge this month.
