Hello Stampers ~ My favorite designer series paper was used in my Stampin’ Up Frosted Floral Hey Friend creation.
Well they started my foundation yesterday. They got it dug. I am not sure when they are going to pour the footings and foundation. I also had closing yesterday so I am officially in major debt again! I am meeting with the builder and the interior decorator today to determine placement of some floor outlets. I also need to talk to him about the built in bench seats in the dining room. I may not need as many as in the plans. I managed to pick up a few items for my OnStage pillow gifts yesterday. I need to work on the swaps and the pillow gifts! So much to do and so little time! Good thing I don’t have appointments this week and can focus on all I have to do.
It is time for our next Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge. This time we have a sketch challenge.
The first thing I thought of when I saw the sketch was the pearlized doilies for the large circle. I went with that idea and decided I wanted to use a shiny designer series paper with it. That meant I was going to use the Frosted Floral dsp. I chose my favorite paper from this collection for the strip across the bottom. The pearlized doily was added behind the paper. I cut 2 strips of other paper from the collection to make the banners at the top. To make the smaller circle I punched a circle from Whisper White and sponged the edge with Blackberry Bliss. I used the Pretty Pines thinlits to cut out the sprigs using Merry Merlot card stock. I colored the balls on the end using the Blackberry Bliss marker. These were modeled after the sprigs in the designer series paper. They were attached to the circle using Multipurpose Liquid glue. The circle element was then added to the card base using dimensionals. Using Itty Bitty Greetings, the sentiment was stamped using Blackberry Bliss. I flagged the end and then attached the banner to the card base using dimensionals. Here is my completed Stampin’ Up Frosted Floral Hey Friend.
