Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic in Calypso Coral

Hello Stampers ~ I have a Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic in Calypso Coral card for you today.

Well I had a very productive day yesterday.  I managed to drop empty boxes off at the recycling center, pay my electric bill from the apartment, voted, got my address on my license changed, changed the address on my tags/registration, got new towels for the guest bath, and also stopped in to the granite place to talk to them about a stain.  I also pulled out the autograph books I am making for the girls and planned out what I need to do to finish them.  That is my goal for today ~ to finish their albums and bind them so they are done.  I am also going to start working on posts for more than 1 day at a time so they can scheduled for next week.  I will share the albums next week after the girls get them so they don’t see the photos.

I wanted a clean and simple card today and the Tropical Chic stamp set is perfect for that.  I began by stamping the flowers and the sentiment using Calypso Coral ink.  Next I stamped the large elephant ear leaf using Granny Apple Green ink.  The coordinating framelits were used to cut out the flowers and leaf.  I also used some Shade Spruce to cut out the fern type leaf.  I laid out all the pieces to determine where everything would go.  I added the ferns using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The other leaf and one of the flowers were added using glue dots.  The sentiment was cut down and the end was flagged using the Banner Triple punch.  I layered this onto a piece of Calypso Coral that was a little larger and had the end flagged also.  This panel was added to the card front using dimensionals.  The last 2 flowers were added using dimensionals also.  Here is the completed Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Thank You.

This is a colorful Thank You card. The Stampin' Up Tropical Chic in Calypso Coral could easily be recreated using other colors.
