Good Morning Everyone ~ the Stampin’ Up Daisy Punch Makes a Great Card!
I hope you have some fun plans for today. I will be starting to read our book club book as I need to get it started since I am loosing a week with the trip to Disney. I will also finish up the autograph books by adding a few embellishments to make it sparkle. You know I have to have my bling! I got a few orders in yesterday that I needed for organizing so I will work on getting those areas organized today also. Not a lot to do so I can take my time with the tasks.
Today I have a great color combination for you. I wanted to play with the daisy set and punch as I had not used it in a while. I looked at colors that you would see for daisies and opted to use Coastal Cabana and Blushing Bride. I stamped three daisies by using Blushing Bride marker for the center of the flower and using the Coastal Cabana marker for the petals. Then using a damp aqua painter I painted over the petals to cause the ink to bleed and color them. I set them aside to dry. I then took the Stitched Shapes ovals and using the 2 largest framelits created a frame in Blushing Bride. I also cut a Whisper White oval using the largest oval. I layered the 2 ovals and set them aside. Using a piece of Whisper White and the Layered Leaves embossing folder I embossed the strip. I added the strip to the front of a Coastal Cabana card front using Tear & Tape. The ovals were added to the card front using dimensionals. The daisy punch was used to punch out the 3 daisies. Using the bone folder, I curled the petals of 2 petals up and the third daisy had the petals curled down. The daisies were layered using glue dots and by offsetting the petals. The daisy was added to the center of the oval using dimensionals. To finish off the flower a clear faceted gem was added to the center. Here is the completed Daisy Punch Makes a Great Card.
