Hello Everyone ~ I played with the Honey Bee bundle for out sketch today and created my Bee Hello Sketch Idea.
Today is “Thank a Mailman” day! Make sure you let your mailman/maillady how much you appreciate him/her. You can always give them a handmade card or make a special holder and give him/her a cookie or two. They work hard to get our mail to us and we need to let them know we appreciate them.
We have a fun sketch challenge this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge Blog.
I knew when I saw this sketch I wanted to use the Honey Bee bundle and Golden Honey designer series paper. I began by addressing the 2 patterned papers in the background. I chose the black and gold honeycomb designer and cut the edge following the honeycomb design. I then chose the black and white bee and beehive to pair with it. I used some black card stock and cut out the honeycomb die. I added it to the lower right hand part of the Gold foil paper. The black and white paper was added on top and then the black and gold honeycomb was added next to it. This panel was added to a Basic Black card base. I stamped the beehive using Crushed Curry ink then cut it out. I mounted it onto a piece of Basic Black and fussy cut around it leaving a small edge. This element was added to the card front using dimensionals. The bee was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap of Crushed Curry. The coordinating die was used to cut it out. It was added to the beehive with a dimensional. I stamped the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Crushed Curry card stock. The Classic Label punch was used to punch it out and then reinserted it into the punch and repunched the other end to make it a smaller size. It was also added to the card base using dimensionals. Here is my completed Bee Hello Sketch Idea creation.

There are some great product in Sale-a-bration this year. I am just starting to play with this bundle but here is another Honey Bee idea that uses the designer series paper also. This card uses more Sale-a-bration product from the Lily suite. This card also uses some of the Lily Impressions designer series paper.
