Hello Stampers ~ I loved a retired Easter set and had to use it for my #ShopYourCraftStash Basket Builder creation.
Be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud. – Maya Angelou
This quote is something we can all use to keep us going right now. There are many people who are struggling with the quarantine as they are a people person. We as crafters can bring them a rainbow in their mailbox. If you are like me you have cards sitting around. Pull out those cards and send them out! Send them to your neighbor down the street who lives alone! Send them to the mom who now has all her kids home and is struggling to ensure the learning continues! Send them to your relatives whom you have not seen in a couple of weeks! Send them to your friends whom you would love to give a hug to. A handmade card is a hug in the mail! I will be writing out cards and sending them out next week to let people know I am thinking about them. It will help brighten everyone’s day!
I went way back in my stash for today’s card. I wanted to do an Easter card to send to my daughter and I just love the Basket Builder bundle we had a few years ago. I found a great sketch on the Try Stampin’ – or not – on Tuesday challenge blog.
I knew it would be perfect for this stamp set. I began by choosing my designer series paper for the background of the stamped image. I chose the Lemon Lime Twist color from the retired Gingham Gala dsp. I used a strip that was 2 7/8″ x 3 1/2″. I cut a piece of Whisper White that was 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″. On this I stamped the cute bunny in the set using Crumb Cake ink. I colored his ears using a Blushing Bride marker and the bow tie with a Highland Heather marker. I then outlined the bow tie with the Basic Black marker so the details would show up. I mounted this onto the designer series paper strip so it mimiced a Polaroid photo. I took a strip of Highland Heather and stamped the Easter eggs using Gorgeous Grape. This was attached in the lower third of the Gorgeous Grape card base. I mounted the designer series paper element using dimensionals. To finish the card I stamped the eggs using Gorgeous Grape and colored them in with a Lemon Lime Twist and Highland Heather marker. These were added to the card front using dimensionals. Here is a super cute #ShopYourCraftStash Basket Builder card!

Need some inspiration for Easter cards? Check out this shaker card that is an Easter egg. If you don’t have any Easter sets you can always make a punch art bunny like this cute idea. This is another card made using today’s set that is also adorable.

A super cute Easter card for your daughter, Robbie! I can hardly believe Easter is coming so fast!!! Love the little eggs as your three elements along the side, and the care you took decorating the inside of your card. Thank you for joining us this week at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday!!! -Donna
