Birthday

Hello Stampers ~ Are any of you like me and have a Birthday in December?

Today we are headed to Zoie’s school for a Christmas Concert.  The Pre-K and K classes are performing some Christmas songs for us.  I am sure it will be interesting!  I will share some pictures tomorrow so you can see the group.

Wednesday is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  All of the ladies are hopping today so make sure you check out the other creations.  We are still working on our Silver and Gold theme.

I got some of my preorder and wanted to play with an idea I saw on You Tube.  One of the items I got was the Star Blast Edgelit dies.  I saw a video where you can use your dies to emboss.  I began by using my Versamark pad to lightly ink up the cutting edge of the die.  Then I used a rubber mat and ran the die through the Big Shot.  This mat embosses but does not cut.  Since I used the Versamark on the die I could then add some embossing powder and heat emboss the edges that would normally cut.  After I heat embossed the image I added a piece of Party Animal dsp which it also in the Occasions catalog.  Then I used the new Balloon Adventures stamp set to stamp my image.  I punched it out with the Decorative Label punch.  I added a strip of gold 1/4″ Naturals Trim across the top and attached this layer to my card base.  I added my sentiment to the card using dimensionals.  I then cut a piece of ribbon and folded it in half and added to the back of the sentiment using glue dots.  To finish off the card I used the edgelit  and some gold glimmer paper to cut out some stars.  I added these to the appropriate area of the embossed edgelit.  Here is my completed card.

Are you ready to hop on down the lines.  All of the ladies are hopping this week so lots of eye candy for you.  Your next stop is Amanda at Our Crafty Playdate.  I can’t wait to see what she came up with!
Thanks for visiting me today.  I have a busy day with lots of running around and a class.  I am sure I will be tired at the end of the day.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday and let me know when your Birthday is!
