Hello Everyone ~ a feminine Retiring Week ~ Tea Together creation is my card to share today.
I made my videos for this week yesterday. I like making them on the weekend so I am prepared for the week ahead. I also made the cards I needed as well as my card for my Facebook Live today. In the afternoon Barb and I played cards. It was a nice distraction. I also borrowed an iPhone cord from her as I have been having issues with my cord connecting to my computer. Her cord worked so I want to try using it several times to make sure it was not a fluke. Today I am going to work on my website and setting up the classroom. I also want to start working on my May class. I have some kids card kits I need to put together and mail out. Looks like it will be a busy day for me again!
With Stampin’ Up announcing it’s retiring list I thought it would be fun to play with the stamp sets that are retiring. This will give you another chance to see these great sets. I chose to use Tea Together for my card today. I began with a Whisper White panel to do a block stamping technique. I used one of my acrylic blocks and using my ink pad I inked up the block. The key is to make sure the ink is all over the block. After you block is inked up you will take a spritzer and spritz the block quite a bit. The ink should be fluid and you know you have enough water on it. Quickly you flip the block upside down and stamp your paper. Let the block sit on the paper until the ink has transferred to the paper. When the ink has transferred removed the block and set the paper aside to dry. While the panel is drying, stamp your flowers using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. To color the images, I used glycerin. The dies were used to cut out the flowers. To give the flowers some sparkle, I used the Wink of Stella to color over the flowers. For the sentiment I stamped it using the black ink. The ends were flagged with my favorite banner punch. A Basic Black layer was cut and the ends flagged also. The 2 layers were attached. For my card base I used Whisper White. A panel of Blushing Bride was added. Once my block stamped panel was completely dry it was added to the card front. The flowers and sentiment were added to the card front using dimensionals. To finish the card off, I sprinkled on some rhinestones. Here is my completed Retiring Week ~ Tea Together creation.

Here are some other ideas using this great set. This one uses one color and some glycerin coloring for a simple card. Who wouldn’t want a cup of tea from this gorgeous tea pot. I added a watercolor background to those same cute flowers with this card.
