Quick and Easy Birthday Card

Hello Everyone ~ I have a Quick and Easy Birthday Card to share with you today.

Are you ready to build up your stash of handmade Birthday Cards?  Would you like an idea that is quick and easy and could be made using any designer series paper you have?  Have you searched and searched but not really finding a simple idea?  Then stop looking and check out this idea.

For my card I used the Classic Christmas designer series paper.  This paper has 3 basic colors ~ Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, and Shaded Spruce.  These are 3 great colors that can be used for all ages whether they are male or female.  I love paper that can be used for both genders as it is economical.  By purchasing only 1 collection of papers for both genders you can save money.

The paper also has a variety of patterns.  The patterns are stripes, stars, grid, and leaf spray.  These patterns are not specific to Christmas which makes them perfect for other occasions.  The stars are really tiny and almost look like dots which is great if you want to create an all occasion card rather than a birthday card.

I love how you can use 2 of the papers for layers and add a die cut for your sentiment.  Makes for a quick and easy card as you are cutting a simple shapes.  By using simple shapes you can easily use any die cut for your sentiment.  This allows you to use the same layout for a different look.  By not having to think about the layout you can quickly make your handmade card.

This week we had a sketch challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments Paper Crafting Challenges blog.

This sketch has a great layout that lends itself to quick and easy cards.  Here is the Quick and Easy Birthday Card I made using this sketch.
