Using the bee punch to make a pumpkin

Using the bee punch to make a pumpkin

Hello everyone – in a recent Facebook Live I showed Using the bee punch to make a pumpkin.

I am always looking for ways to use my punches in unusual ways. I recently saw someone use the bee punch to make a pumpkin and couldn’t wait to share the idea in a Live. It is easy to do by punching 3 of the bodies, cutting the tip off of 2, and layering them to make the pumpkin. I thought it went well with the Splendid Autumn dsp pattern with the pumpkins on it. I also decided to pair it with the retired Sheltering Tree stamp set. Here is how my card came together.

About my card

Mossy Meadow – 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
White – 4″ x 5 1/4″
Pumpkin Pie – scrap for punching
Splendid Autumn dsp – 2″ x 5 1/4″

Years ago we had oval punches that I also used to make pumpkins.  I still have the ones I used to make this card.  Look at how I used a small circle punch to make this caterpillar.  I sent this one to Zoie as she loved my punch art!

Here are the supplies you will need to make your version of this card.

I also used the Sheltering Tree stamp set but you can easily use any tree stamp set you have in your stash.
