Coloring Down the Lines – You’re the Best

Good Morning Stampers!

Today we are headed to Raleigh to go dress shopping.  I need to find a dress for Michaela’s wedding in October.  They have a store in the south called Dillard’s that has a fabulous formal section with lots of choices.  The dresses are also reasonably priced.  I cannot pay a lot of money that will only be worn once!

Today is our Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  Liz chose our colors this week.

Stampin’ Up color matches

When I looked at these colors I immediately thought of The Open Sea set and the ship.  I actually started planning my card while I was walking to my craft room.  This card is pretty straight forward.  I stamped the images in the upper left and bottom right corners.  I colored my ship with markers and used circle framelits to cut it out.  I added another piece of Marina Mist on top to simulate the water.  I cut a Pacific Point layer using the next larger framelit.  I mounted this to my card base with dimensionals.  I then stamped my sentiment from an older retired set and punched the end using the banner punch.  Here is my completed card.

Now it is time to continue on down the line to check out the rest of the ladies creations.  Your next stop is Amanda at Our Crafty Playdate.  I am sure she has a fabulous project for you!

Thanks for visiting me today.  Cross your fingers that I find a dress. Michaela has requested a navy blue or burgundy dress.  Have a Wonderful Wednesday!
