Another Attempt at Blown Ink

Happy Monday Stampers!

I hope you all had a great weekend!  I got a lot done yesterday.  I have a hair appointment today and tonight I have a demo dinner so not much will get done today.  I have a lot to do before I leave for North Carolina on Sunday.  I will be very busy this week!

Today I decided to revisit the blowing ink through a straw.  So for my 30 Day Coloring Challenge and did another sample.

This time I again used a window sheet.  I dropped my ink on and then blew it around using a straw.  When I was happy with it, I took a piece of watercolor paper and laid it on top of the color.   I then took it off and spritzed with a little water.  I still got the look of the blown ink with some blending.

After I had my panel created and it was dry I mounted it onto a Tempting Turquoise card base.  I thought it needed some bling so I took my silver thread and looped it.  I then stamped a sentiment and punched it out and mounted it on top of the loops.  To finish the card, I punched some flowers and sponged the edges.  Here is what my final creation looks like.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am looking forward to meeting up with some other demos tonight.  Have a Marvelous Monday!

  1. Beautiful!!! I have a question though, did you use the Watercolor paper or the clear that you initially inked up on the card? Either way, it is wonderful!
