Serene Friend

Hello Everyone!

Yesterday I spent some time in my craft room.  I finished up my Pocket Letter so I can mail it out on Monday.  I also did some coloring and made my card for today.  The Pocket Letter took a lot of time as I had to make all the pockets as well as all the little goodies to put behind the cards.  I will share the pocket with you at the end of the month when I am sure the lady has received it.

I did some acrylic block coloring yesterday and created 2 backgrounds.  I wasn’t sure which piece I was going to use.  I actually got my colors from the color challenge at Sunday Stamps

When I saw this I thought of Very Vanilla, Soft Sky, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso.  I grabbed one of my larger acrylic blocks and my markers.  I started in the center and colored with Soft Sky.  I colored from one corner to the opposite on a diagonal.  After I had a wide strip of Soft Sky I did a strip of Crumb Cake on each side of the blue.  I then finished up with Early Espresso on the remaining corners.  I then spritzed it with water and put it down on my card stock.  For the one I did today, I put the colored block onto watercolor paper.  Here is the effect I ended up with.

I took this panel and cut it down a little.  I stamped it with Serene Silhouettes that I colored with my markers.  I then added an Early Espresso layer.  I mounted it onto a Soft Sky card base.  I then dyed my ribbon in Soft Sky as we did not have a Soft Sky ribbon that I wanted to use.  I then used a sentiment from Sprinkles of Life to stamp on the side.  Here is what my final creation looked like.

Well we are up to day 14 of the 30 Day Coloring challenge.

For my coloring today I decided to pull out Wink of Stella pens and color an image.  Since I was using a dark color for the flower you really can’t see the different lines.  I pulled out my Gelly Roll clear stardust pen and traced the lines to add some sparkle and definition.  Here is what my final coloring looked like.

Thanks for visiting me today.  I am babysitting Zoie and Remi today as Jess gets together with a girl friend.  I am hoping to get some time to make my card for tomorrow.  Have a Super Saturday!
