Happy Monday Ladies ~ I have another great card for a child that used A Little Wild from Stampin’ Up.
I did not get as many cards made as I had hoped yesterday. I did finish one set. I had to make Thank You cards for my customers which I did get done. I also had some ironing to do which I completed. I ran a couple of errands and I have no idea where the rest of the day went. I have a worker coming today to give me an estimate on a job the new buyer wants done. Cross your fingers that it is not outrageously expensive and just a simple fix. I am worried about this one as it could get expensive. I have another guy coming to give me an estimate on the other jobs that need to be completed. I am hoping he can do all the rest as it will be easier and maybe not that expensive either. Cross your fingers for me!
One of the sets that was in the Occasions catalog that carried over was the A Little Wild set. I thought this would be a great set to make cards for the girls. As it worked out it is the next set on my Catalog Journey. I decided to use the elephant for my card so I thought about where you would find elephants. I thought of trees and bushes so I went looking through my designer series paper and the Tranquil Textures designer series paper had a green textured piece. I decided to use it and stamp on the paper. I used the leaf from Oh So Eclectic as I thought with the size of the elephant they would look like large bushes. I stamped them using Old Olive and Garden Green. The paper was a little bare so I wanted to add some tree branches. Using the Colorful Seasons stamp set I stamped the branches and added some leaves. I added this paper to a Garden Green card base. I then stamped some leaves and used the coordinating framelit to cut them out. They were added to the branches using dimensionals. To do my elephant, I stamped it using Smoky Slate ink. I then used the Smoky Slate light Blend to color him in. The coordinating framelit was used to cut him out. He was added to the card using dimensionals. Here is my completed A Little Wild from Stampin’ Up.
