Hello Everyone ~ I played with the Christmas Pines from Stampin’ Up set and created a fun pineapple card.
Well one worker showed up and checked out what needed to be done. The other I have not heard from yet. I have no idea what it is going to cost me from the first one. Cross your fingers for me that it is not outrageous. To keep my mind occupied and not spend time worried and wondering, I played in my craft room all day. I managed to make cards for 3 stamp sets for my Catalog Journey. Today I have appointments in the morning and then I need to clean my bathrooms. Not sure how much time I will have to play in my craft room, but maybe I will be lucky and at least get one more set completed. I am hoping so that I have them finished before I have to move. I have 43 sets on my list and I have completed 26 of them. I will keep working on them until I have the go ahead to stop and finish my packing. I am holding off on that until I know the deal will go through. Don’t want to jinx myself.
I have entered the Holiday section of the catalog. I know you are thinking it is too early for Christmas cards but do realize it is only 155 Days until Christmas? It goes so fast that it will be here before you know it. I decided to show you that you can use Christmas stamp sets for cards that are not for Christmas. I looked at the pinecone stamp and wondered if I turned it upside down if it would look like a pineapple. It did so I pulled out the framelits and used the one that embossed the front. I thought it looked like the outside of a pineapple. I cut 3 of them out of Pineapple Punch card stock. To give them more of the pineapple look, I used Crumb Cake ink and sponged some on top. To make my tops for my pineapples, I cut several of the pine bough sprays and then added them to the back. To make my card I wanted to use some washi tape so I pulled out the Pick a Pattern group and found 3 to use. I took the widest one and added it down the 4″ side of my Whisper White panel. Next I added the 3/8″ pattern across the 5 1/4″ side of the panel. The 2 tapes cross in the corner. I then took the 1/8″ pattern and added it next to the 3/8″ pattern. I have my washi tape added and knew my pineapples would go down in the corner on top of the washi tape. It was missing something and thought I would add a sentiment. I took the sentiment box in the set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black ink in the middle. There was not sentiment in the Christmas Pines stamp set that would go so I ended up using the Jar of Love for my sentiment. I added my panel to a Pineapple Punch card base and then added my pineapples. Here is my completed Christmas Pines from Stampin’ Up creation.
