Hello Stampers ~ I have a cute Children’s Card today with my A Little Wild ~ Honey Bear creation.
Well I get the girls this afternoon so this morning I will be doing some picking up and reorganizing before they get here. I have to take some of my supplies and put them out of sight so they are not tempted to play without checking with me first. Markers and ink are very tempting to them! 🙂 They will get here between 2 and 3 so I have to come up with something for them to do to get rid of some energy. I may take them to the playground here but that will depend on whether the ground is too wet or not. If not we can find something else to do. I can always take them to Chik-fil-et and get a drink while they play in the indoor area.
I am going to take a break this week and go back to my Catalog Journey. I still have a lot of cards that I created I before I moved that I want to share so I will share some of them this week. The card today uses the stamp set A Little Wild. I had not played with the honey bear so I chose to use it. I stamped the bear and the hive. The bear was colored using alcohol markers. The coordinating framelits were used to cut them out. I took a 3″ x 4″ piece of Whisper White card stock. I stamped the grass across the bottom and a bunch of bees on the top. The Crushed Curry and Balmy Blue marker were used to color the bees. To make the wings shiny I used some of the Fine Tip Glue on the wings. This piece was set aside for the glue to dry. A piece of Crushed Curry card stock was used and embossed with the Hexagons embossing folder. It was then attached to a Balmy Blue card base using Tear & Tape. The background panel was attached to a Balmy Blue layer that was a little larger than the Whisper White panel. This panel was added to the card base using dimensionals. The bear and hive were added using dimensionals. I used Crumb Cake to stamp the sentiment. It was punched out using the 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch. The 1 3/8″ scallop circle punch was used to punch a piece of Crushed Curry. The 2 circles were layered and then added to the upper right hand corner of the panel with dimensionals. Here is the completed A Little Wild ~ Honey Bear creation.
