A Pop of Color

Hello Everyone!

Well I spent yesterday at the yarn store.  They have knit along for a scarf that started I wanted to do.  We started the scarf and got to work on it for about 1 1/2 hours.  I love this project as it is so fun and it is a simple pattern.  It is basically 12 that repeat over and over.  I will take pictures to share with tomorrow.

I am still continuing with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

Today we have a black ad white with a pop of color on The Paper Plunge.  Yesterday I shared the coloring I did using an embossing folder.  I got cute polka dot piece of paper that I scribbled in the circles.  I added that to a white card base with a layer of black that I embossed with the zig zag embossing folder.  I then added a white cotton ribbon.  For my pop of color I chose to punch out some Tempting Turquoise flowers using the petite petals punch and the itty bitty punch pack.  I sponged the edges with ink and added a pearl in the center of the flower.  Here is my final creation.

So for my coloring today I decided to do a watercolor background.  I put my watercolor paper on my teflon mat and spritzed it with water.  I wet my paint brush and picked up some Night of Navy ink.  I dabbed it onto my watercolor paper.  I repeated this several times.  I did not like the look of this so I started using my paint brush and spreading the ink around.  I added ink as needed.  When I was happy with the look I stopped and let it dry.  When it was dry, I was surprised to see some other colors showing up.  It may be hard to tell, but there is some pink showing up also.

Thanks for visiting me today.  We are headed back to the dentist for a check up for Remi and he is going to check out Zoie as she has a very pronounced lisp.  Neither Jess and I think her lisp is the result of the same problem Remi had.  Jess is going to push for a referral for speech from her doctor.  Being military they have a process they have to go through.  Have a Fabulous Friday!

Robbie
