Across the Waves – fun tag
Hello everyone – see how I used shape dies to make this Across the Waves – fun tag idea.
Last week Vicky and I shared some tags with you. This week we have 2 more ideas for you. You can find her project here.
I saw a tag that was a fun shape and I realized I have a lot of shape nesting dies. I pulled out what I had and thought the shape I used today would be a fun one.
Today’s Project
I began by picking out some pattern paper. I loved this tree pattern with silver accents so chose it. I then figured out my layers and cut everything out. My largest diet out the silver layer but I wanted a green layer behind it. I took my largest die and traced around the outside then cut it out. This worked because my die cuts on the inside edge of the die. So if you need a larger shape of your die, see if your largest one will work if you trace it.
For my sentiment I realized I had a punch that is very similar in shape to the tag. I pulled it out and it worked with the sentiment. Stamped it with the same green ink as the cardstock. To give it some interest I used some silver netting to make a gathered piece and glued it to the back. To finish it off I punched a hole and used some thin silver ribbon to create the tie on.
